Inclusive After School/Summer Child Care for School-Aged Children With and Without Disabilities
This program serves children and youth from preschool to school-agers by providing a safe nurturing environment with opportunities for social and developmental activities. Programs are also available during school breaks and in the summer.
Outpatient Pediatric Therapy Services
Outpatient Speech Therapy:
Capstone's outpatient pediatric clinic specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of communication, swallowing, speech, fluency and voice disorders for ages birth to school age. Therapists work with parents in assisting their child's communication development and suggest home activities that will enhance the progress of their child.
Free Public Charter Preschool
For Children (3 to 5 years old) with Developmental Delays/Disabilities
Using the skills and expertise of teachers, occupational, physical and speech therapists, and board certified behavior analysts, Capstone Academy provides educational opportunities based on each child's individual needs. The communication-based classroom environments incorporate verbal behavior techniques throughout the day. Our preschool curriculum provides appropriate activities/tasks covering six developmental areas: cognitive, language, gross motor, fine motor, social-emotional, and self help skills. The school embraces a behavior support system which focuses on the replacement of inappropriate behaviors with socially appropriate behaviors.
